19 Weeks

19 weeks...that's so amazing to say (write). Not a lot has changed since my last post except for the fact that I'm 19 weeks along! And that I only have to wait 5 more days (really 4 since my appointment is in the morning) until I find out if the little one growing inside of my belly is a boy or a girl. I can hardly stand the wait! I don't know how I dealt with this when I made the appointment nearly 4 weeks ago! I think the waiting is harder now than it was then. But I just have to keep busy this weekend so it goes by fast (who wants a weekend to go by fast?).

I'm still waiting to feel the baby move - there have been some weird feelings but I don't think it's the baby moving. I hear that when it does move, you know. So, we'll see... At any rate, I figured I'd post something, even though I haven't had any new cravings, movements, or major changes - my belly is quite a bit more visible though. Yesterday, as I was enjoying a chocolate pedicure, someone I didn't know actually asked how far along I was. And it was a guy! So, that was the first time a stranger noticed I was pregnant. Kinda hard to miss...

Stay tuned...will be back in 5 days! (In the mean time, cast your vote in the boy/girl poll!)

17 Weeks

Well, today I'm 17 weeks and 2 days. This week has been good - nothing too eventful except a morning of heartburn. Although, I never knew you could have heartburn in your stomach. Weird. I called the doc after a few minutes of worrying and the nurse told me to take an antacid. Sure enough, it was gone within the hour. Note to self: don't eat sausage rolls until AFTER baby arrives!

So for now, here is my milestone update for the week.

How far along? 17 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +6 lbs. (I only go by the doc's scale so this will only be updated every 4 weeks) :)
Maternity clothes? Every day!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Trying to get used to sleeping on my left side (I'm a back sleeper)
Best moment this week: Knowing that we are less than 3 weeks away from finding out if we're having a boy or girl!
Movement: still nothing :(
Food cravings: Strawberries Romanov (skipped the sauce since there's rum in it though...sad day)
Gender Ideas: still boy
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: Romanov sauce (see "Food Cravings")
What I am looking forward to: Knowing what to shop for - a boy or a girl
Weekly Wisdom: Don't eat sausage rolls anymore; I had my first pregnancy heartburn experience, ouch!
Milestones: Got AFP blood test results and all was normal (this is a test for spina bifida). Yea for good news!

+1

Long time no blog. Since my last blog, our big news to share is that we're expecting! Woohoo! Due date is October 21 and I'm 16 weeks (plus 2 days). All is going well, I'm feeling better, and getting a little bigger too! We're really excited and are eagerly awaiting to find out if we're having a little boy or a little girl. Our 20 week ultrasound (and when we hopefully find out the gender) is scheduled for June 2. Only 3 weeks and 4 days...and counting! I hope it flies by!

We are ready for the summer and I think the pool will be officially open this weekend. It's been nice and warm all week and the water feels great! Stay tuned for more updates on Cynford + 1!

I saw this milestone list on another person's blog and thought it was neat to see how things change from week to week, so here's what up with me in week 16!

How far along? 16 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: +6 lbs. (Dr. said this is just right, whew!)
Maternity clothes? Yup
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Only waking up once per night to potty and blow my nose
Best moment this week: Scheduled the big ultrasound for 20 weeks when we find out if we're having a boy or girl
Movement: can't feel anything yet; but anxiously waiting!
Food cravings: snow cones
Gender Ideas: Boy? (this week anyways)
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: Margaritas (recent happening given Cinco de Mayo)
What I am looking forward to: June 2 (big u/s)
Weekly Wisdom: It's normal to get tired and short of breath (thanks doc!)
Milestones: 16 week appointment went well! Heartbeat was in the 150s and baby was moving a lot!

A New Year

Wow...it really has been a long time since I have posted. A lot has happened since August, but we're ready to start the new year off right. We just had our home office redone and it looks great! We are so excited about it and have everything all moved in. The last item on our "to do" list is to organize all our files. It's a big task, but once it's done, we'll be set. My daily productivity has improved and I love spending time in there. Here are some pictures of our new home office.

Tigers Fantasy Camp

We spent the weekend in Detroit where Brad participated in the Detroit Tigers Fantasy Baseball Camp at Comerica Park. He got a full uniform, and played 10 games back to back Friday night, all day Saturday, and all day Sunday. We all had a blast watching him in the stands - and it was an amazing experience for us all! Brad pitched several innings and played 1st base, 2nd base, and all outfield positions. Here's a picture I took of him in his Detroit Tigers uniform.

Stay tuned for more pictures and videos.

Final Pictures

The project is now about 98% done and only a few minor details are left. We enjoyed our pool all weekend long and look forward to the rest of the summer and early fall to swim in our pool and party on our patio! Here are some pictures of the "final" product.

Fireplace Complete!

After three long weeks, the fireplace was finally finished this week. It looks so good! I'll take more pictures during the day, but here's an updated picture of the finished fireplace. We burned our first fire this evening. :)

Landscaping Complete!

Well, July 4th rolled around and we didn't quite get it all done. The pool was full of water...but no chemicals. However, this did allow us to swim in it that day...and that weekend too. Now, it's a little dirty and they have added the acid and will be balancing the water tonight in order to get the chemicals up and running tomorrow.

Here are some pics of the landscaping and the pool in use!

Oh...and we think Callie likes our backyard, too!

Pool filled and fireplace hearth done

The pool filled in about 18-20 hours. Also, the hearth was completed on the same day. It looks great! Take a look...
