"One" of my Due Dates

39 Weeks
[I thought I'd add a picture representing my 39 week belly. I don't do this often but thought since I'm nearing the end, those of you who haven't seen me could get a quick glimpse before Baby B makes her debut!]Another week closer to meeting Baby B! This week's dr. appointment went well. I saw a different dr. as mine will be out of town for the next week. He estimated the baby to weigh about 8 1/2 - 9 pounds right now, and also thinks I'll go past my due date. Yippee - not! If she's that big now, how big will she be if I go past my due date?! I go back next Wednesday for my 40 week appointment and if I'm still in the same situation, we'll talk about inducing within the following week - possibly on/around Oct. 26. So, that's that. Now I just need to try to figure out how to relax and enjoy the next week and a half (which is really nothing!). Here are my milestones for the week.
How far along? 39 weeks
Maternity clothes? had to buy some cool weather clothes to get through the weekend
Sleep: lots of tossing and turning
Best moment this week: thinking I had dropped (but I think she moved back up...) :(
Movement: not as "big" of movements - she must be running out of room; still feel waves of movement across my belly though
Food cravings: Mexican food
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: none, nada, zip, zilch
Belly Button in or out? poking out a little but not all the time
What I miss: waking up feeling rested
What I am looking forward to: no more heartburn
Weekly Wisdom: enjoy the time of having an "inside" baby - spend quality time with the husband
Milestones: another week closer to meeting Baby B

38 Weeks
Another week has passed and I'm still feeling good! I'm a little tired, but resting as much as I can. We had no progress this week at the dr. so it looks like we likely won't be meeting Baby B this week. But that's ok - I'll definitely use this time to get ready and get some rest before the big day. Here are some milestones for the last week.
How far along? 38 weeks
Weight gain: 0 this week and last
Maternity clothes? Yeah and now I'm challenged with fall clothes - limited clothing items for these last weeks!
Sleep: Pretty good
Best moment this week: delivery of our dream rocker! :)
Movement: been great! over the weekend, she "danced" to Meet Virginia - I've ever experienced her moving a ton when listening to music but when that song played, she moved like crazy!
Food cravings: Anything pumpkin! I had a Pumpkin Pie Blizzard and Pumpkin Pie/Pecan Pie Cheesecake - yum!
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: none
Belly Button in or out? seems to be peeking out sometimes, but generally, it's in
What I miss: driving w/o my belly touching the steering wheel
What I am looking forward to: Maternity leave!
Weekly Wisdom: Sleep! (everyone tells me this)
Milestones: I'd say 38 weeks is milestone enough! :)
Wednesday, September 30, 2009
37 Weeks
I can!
Monday, September 21, 2009
36 Weeks
How far along? 36 weeks
Maternity clothes? Of course
Sleep: Can't be cool enough; achiness makes getting up for potty breaks more challenging
Best moment this week: only gained 1 pound!
Movement: pretty constant, seems to be stretching out as much as she can in there!
Food cravings: Oreo truffles and scalloped potatoes (Mom is making them for me tomorrow!)
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: none
Belly Button in or out? still in/flat
What I miss: getting in and out of bed easily
What I am looking forward to: resting up these next few weeks
Weekly Wisdom: even a little can be too much when it comes to doing things around the house; I just need to take it easy and do one thing at a time, with small rest breaks in between!
Milestones: less than 1 month until D Day!
Tuesday, September 15, 2009
35 Weeks
How far along? 35 weeksSleep: Pretty good; still getting up about 3 times/night for a potty break
Wednesday, September 9, 2009
34 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +25 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Sleep: actually, not bad. still waking up 2-3 times to go to the bathroom, but I've been able to go right back to sleep
Best moment this week: washed all clothes, blankets, etc. (who knew laundry could actually be enjoyable?!)
Movement: Still very regular and this is definitely the most enjoyable part of the pregnancy
Food cravings: anything (I'm pretty much hungry all th etime. I'm sure this will cause the weight gain to creep up a bit)
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: none
Belly Button in or out? in
What I miss: being able to stand up without grunting or struggling and walk up stairs without being out of breath
What I am looking forward to: Finishing up the nursery; I still need to buy storage baskets and liners and set them up in the changing table system. I also need to hang the wall letters and plan to do that this weekend. Finally, I need to figure out what other wall decorations to add and maybe hang some curtains.
Weekly Wisdom: I'm trying to enjoy my time to rest/sleep because I know it won't be as readily available in 6 short weeks.
Milestones: car seat installed and inspected!

33 Weeks
Milestones for the last 2 weeks (I missed an update!):
How far along? 33 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +25 lbs. (I wasn't told my weight gain this week so I'm skipping this!)
Maternity clothes? Yes
Sleep: what's that? I'm not tired at night, wake up several times once I finally do fall asleep, then am tired in the morning. The waking every hour thing isn't fun (as I'm sure my new snoring/heavy breathing tricks aren't fun for Brad!)
Best moment this week: delivery of the changing table system!
Movement: I can feel and see her moving all the time - I just started feeling hard spots that feel like they could be a foot or hand or something. So weird, but totally cool!
Food cravings: orange juice
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: none
Belly Button in or out? in
What I miss: being comfortable
What I am looking forward to: organizing the nursery/changing table system
Weekly Wisdom: I have to remind myself not to get to the dr. too early (I'm usually really good about arriving exactly on time, but went early to run another errand first this week.) No matter when you get there, you still have to wait. Seems crazy when I'm actually only there like 10 minutes or less for my visit... This week's visit, I was there a total of an hour for a less than 10 minute appointment. But I did get my flu shot!
Milestones: More like "news" instead of milestones. At this week's appointment I was 32w5d but baby/belly measured around 35 weeks. Yikes! Dr. said we could be looking at a big baby. He'll keep an eye on her growth over the next 4-6 weeks, and if she's still growing by leaps and bounds, he'll do a sonogram to try to get a better idea how big she really is. Slow down lady! (ok not really - I'd be happy with a big healthy girl!)

31 Weeks
Here are a few milestones for the week:
Best moment this week: Seeing my friends at my baby shower - so much fun! Also, being told I was "all belly" when I've felt so huge for weeks now. Thanks ladies! Talk about great friends. :) Here's a picture of me at the shower - between 30 and 31 weeks.
Movement: all over
Belly Button in or out? still an innie, one night, it looked like it was a total innie as normal but then the next morning it was kinda flat again. I guess she was in different places both times!

How far along? 30 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +23 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Sleep: Not comfortable but I have turned upside down in the bed (head is where feet usually are) and have had 2 nights of good sleep....who knows.
Best moment this week: last Friday, we heard and felt baby hiccups for the first time; it lasted at least 10 minutes and was pretty cool. I've felt them just about every other day since then.

26 Weeks
It's been a couple of weeks since I've provided an update about Baby B. All is going well, we (her and I) are both growing each and every day. The heat is getting worse, so I'm trying to stay inside as much as I can. We took a 2 week vacation, as most of you already know, which some people like to call a "babymoon." We had a blast touring ballparks around the country and I didn't have to drive 1 mile of it! Thanks Bradford! :)
I continue to shop for baby girl clothes - I can see how it can easily become an addiction. Baby showers will be coming up next month and I'm so thankful to have such wonderful friends and family to host the parties. I can't wait to see everyone!
So that's it for now. Here are some of the milestones of the last couple of weeks:
How far along? 26 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: +22 lbs. (I'm hoping to not go up much more than this---yeah right)
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Start out on my side like I'm supposed to, but end up on my back - no major consequences as of yet
Best moment this week: Scheduled a 4D ultrasound
Movement: Mostly in the morning and evening
Food cravings: I had my share of ballpark food over the last 2 weeks, which addressed my craving for nacho cheese
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? kind of non-existent
What I miss: getting in and out of a car easily
What I am looking forward to: 4D ultrasound
Weekly Wisdom: swimming is heaven
Milestones: currently entering 3rd trimester!

Baseball Roadtrip - Day 8
After we left there, we had our 5 second Cindy is in a bad mood moment of the day. We were on I-94 heading from Ann Arbor to Detroit (but on the way we would be passing by the hotel.) Mike says, "Cindy do you have the tickets to the game with you?" In true Marco fashion she says "no." Mike starts to get concerned and a few minutes later Cindy says "they are at will call." So she knew all along where they were, but decided to shatter the self-esteem of the extremely fragile Metro Mike. Thursday, July 9, 2009
Baseball Roadtrip - Day 7
Mike and I each got some elote; Mike then proceeded to eat a pretzel, a hot dog, and some dippin dots. Apparently he wants to leave some souveniers in Detroit as well.
Baseball Roadtrip - Day 6
-Bobby, it's ok. Keep dipping your nuggets in your Frosty.
Sorry this is so long...Cindy is yelling at me for writing too much, so adios until tomorrow.

Baseball Roadtrip - Day 5
When we landed in Chicago we got a text from Mike saying he had just landed. As we walked to his gate, we passed a restaurant and it smelled like old cheese. Cindy said, "Mike must be here because I can smell his feet."

Baseball Roadtrip - Day 4
As we left my grandma's house, I got lost again. The best part is I got lost despite Cindy telling me twice within a minute to continue straight on the road I was about to turn on....I still decided to turn again! As we got to the stadium, Cindy asked her best question of the trip.....WHY ARE WE THE ONLY TEAM WITH A STADIUM NOT IN DOWNTOWN? (stay tuned for her worst question of the trip.)
From the outside the stadium it is really nice, especially when you see that the roof is closed!
Inside it kind of felt like Minute Maid Park a little bit, but it was a weird shape, and the upper level was like 100 rows and extremely steep (luckily we were in the left field bleachers about 5 rows off the field.) The food was great though, they had a lot of $1.50 options like hot dogs and corn dogs, etc; and their nachos were the old school round tortilla chips which the Rangers have some how distanced from. They were so much better than anything the Ballpark in Arlington has to offer.
The game was pretty boring, until the 6th inning when they did the kiss cam. The first couple they put on the screen was a hispanic couple, my guess was she was in her 20s and he was in his 30s. They refused to kiss and she was laughing and covering her face; after a few seconds the camera went to another couple, and everyone booed the hispanic couple. After showing several other couples they went back to the hispanic couple and once again she covers her face laughing...then in a truly priceless moment, she mouths "He's my dad." The entire stadium erupted in laughter.
Now on to Cindy's worst question of the trip. After standing and singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame for the 7th Inning Stretch; we sit down and Cindy asks if we are in the Top of the 7th inning.
After the game we decided to return our rental car, which we did and successfully avoided the $180 drop off fee. We then took the car rental shuttle to the hotel shuttle place at the airport, then caught the Radisson shuttle. On the way back to the hotel, I convinced the driver to take us to Del Taco for a late night snack. I offered to get him something, he declined, but at least we were able to eat Del Taco one more time before getting out of town.

Baseball Roadtrip - Day 3
- It is fun to drive while imitating fake Greggo, saying things like "Oh boy" and "Man I'm getting bored with this"
- Singing the entire song 99 bottles of beer on the wall is more exhausting than you might think. (for the record I only messed up once, Cindy twice)
- Why are there 100 mexican radio stations but no country ones between SD and Yuma?
- It took us 5 seconds to get through the Border Patrol check. They took one look at Cindy and said, nope no Mexicans in this car.
- Why do we celebrate a "birthday" every year but a wedding day only once?
- Del Taco restaurant is pretty dang good but they need to take credit cards
- Snickers ice cream bars are underrated

Baseball Roadtrip - Day 2
The drive was fairly uneventful, except for the moment when I was blogging about Day 1 and Brad mentions he's going North instead of South. We remedied that fairly quickly and got back on route to Anaheim.
The weather during the game was unbelievable! The sun was out for a while but it was nice and cool. Brad caught a batting practice home run ball, so that was pretty exciting! We also got to experience a fly over before the game, while Michael Johns from American Idol sang the Star Spangled Banner. (Is it us, or is there something wrong with a non-American singing the national anthem, especially on Independence Day?) The fly over was cool - not like one I've seen before. Very slow and quite - but a pretty huge aircraft. Here's a pic.
It was a pretty long game, 3 hours and 15 minutes, but the weather and atmosphere really made it enjoyable. The night ended with a fantastic July 4th fireworks show in the ballpark...there's nothing like a watching a firework show in 70 degree weather!
AT&T Park and Angel Stadium are by far the top two ballparks of this trip so far!Just for fun, here are a few highlights of the day:
Question of the day (from Brad): Could a bear catch Callie?
Food of the day: Found a Baja Fresh on the trip to Anaheim (my favorite!)
What Cindy learned from Brad: when he says "Sounds good" it basically means "I don't care"
Hometeam Record: 2-0

19 Weeks
I'm still waiting to feel the baby move - there have been some weird feelings but I don't think it's the baby moving. I hear that when it does move, you know. So, we'll see... At any rate, I figured I'd post something, even though I haven't had any new cravings, movements, or major changes - my belly is quite a bit more visible though. Yesterday, as I was enjoying a chocolate pedicure, someone I didn't know actually asked how far along I was. And it was a guy! So, that was the first time a stranger noticed I was pregnant. Kinda hard to miss...
Stay tuned...will be back in 5 days! (In the mean time, cast your vote in the boy/girl poll!)
